On 17 March 2021, a new Innovative Startup, called UltraAI, was established in Trento, Italy, which specialises in the processing of ultrasonographies (ultrasound scans) using Artificial Intelligence algorithms to reveal possible respiratory diseases, also related to the Covid-19 pandemic, in an early manner.
The company was set up in collaboration with Prof. Libertario Demi and Paolo Giorgini of the University of Trento and Blue Tensor Srl, a company specialising in AI software.
The initiative was funded by EIT Digital, the European Innovation Agency. The Agency will enter the company’s capital by May 2021.
