The relaunching of SMEs goes for innovation and internationalization

Introduced in preview the calls of the Lazio Region for Internationalization

On July 3, was held in Rome a meeting to present the SME Finance Facility, the initiative came from Sapienza Innovation and Management Innovation who want to accompany the system of Italian SMEs towards a raise and a re-positioning on the Italian market and internationally.

The meeting, held in the conference room of the Unicredit Pond of EUR, was attended by over 200 representatives of PMI and it was an opportunity to preview the calls for the internationalization of the Lazio region that will be disseminated effectively by the end of July.

Prof. Guido Fabiani, Deputy Mayor for Economic Development and Production of the Lazio Region, has framed the new measures within a complex strategy to boost production in the region, many years in serious decline.

Dr. Luigi Campitelli, Director of Business Development Industrial Lazio, presented in detail the two new calls that are going to be popular: the first, reserved for aggregations of PMI, has allocated 5 million euros for international projects that will from a minimum contribution of 50 K € to a maximum of 250 K €. The second, reserved for intermediate parties, such as chambers of commerce and trade associations, which allocates 2.2 million euros to support expressions of interest for the internationalization of integrated actions with regional direction (see attached sheets).

Dr. Stephen Trueman, Director of Knowledge Innovation, discussed the need for an accompanying SMEs to bring them to make innovative products / services and processes that allow for repositioning in the market and a greater presence in international markets.

A round table, conducted by Prof. Roberto Pasca, head of International Cooperation Foundation Rome Sapienza, entitled “Internationalization: from Research to Market” has made the point on the desirability of greater proximity between the world of University and Research the world of Companies Lazio and Italian in general. Was attended by Prof. Maurizio Talamo, Pro-rector of the University Tor Vergata University Foundation and President of the Inuit, Prof. Andrea Prencipe, who teaches Innovation Management at the LUISS “Guido Carli”, Dr. Giulia Cerulli, the company Profile Media that has exposed a real case of successful internationalization of television and multimedia products, and Dr. Roberto Saporito SIMEST, company controlled by the Deposits and Loans, which supports the internationalization through capital grants to SMEs wishing to invest in foreign markets.

Finally Dr. Emilio Sassone Corsi, CEO of Management Innovation, presented the operational program development and management  SportelloPMI and how the Sportello is supporting the system of Italian SMEs and Lazio on the front of the programs of Research and Innovation and the next internationalization program. Saxon courses presented the results already obtained on calls Horizon 2020 SME Instruments, where were collected 37 proposals for innovative projects by SMEs and have it selected 13 to be presented to the program SME Instruments. The first deadline of 18 June were presented six proposals; the others will be submitted to the next deadline of 24 September. But in the meantime, other proposals are entering the SportelloPMI creating new attention on this type of instrument of Community funding. Similarly SportelloPMI want to support SMEs Lazio innovative proposals to ban Internationalization of the Lazio Region. Again SportelloPMI accompany Networks of Companies and consortia who wish to be present on the international markets to introduce and develop the best proposals.

SME stands out more and more to support operational and practical system of Small and Medium Enterprises Italian, identifying strategies to overcome the crisis, to use the processes of innovation to improve its products / services and reposition them on the market with success in the development of international markets to find new outlets to sell more and better their products / services.
