It has been a difficult year, still immersed in the pandemic, but it has also been a year of recovery, revival and success. We live these last days of 2021 with the worry of a resurgence of infections due to the Omicron variant, which will certainly not make us rest easy for the coming months. But at least for a few days, let us try to celebrate a year of many achievements and increasingly interesting prospects.
The Management Innovation participating companies have developed many initiatives throughout this year that are leading to very important successes. It is difficult to list them all. I will limit myself to the most significant ones.
Glass to Power certified its products at the beginning of the year and achieved its first market successes. It also carried out a capital increase which raised €2.3 million in June.
Almost at the same time, Galatea Bio Tech also carried out a capital increase, raising a maximum of €600K and is launching an important project in the Province of Trento for the industrialisation of the bio-plastics production process.
Perhaps the most successful initiative of 2021 is the entry of two major investment funds into the capital of Sidereus Space Dynamics, the company founded by Mattia Barbarossa and Management Innovation just two years ago. The two investment funds (Primo Spazio and CDP Ventures) have injected no less than €1.5m into the company to support the ideas and projects of Mattia and his team, which is made up of young and very young researchers.
In short: a complex year, but also one full of many satisfactions, in anticipation of an even more intense and interesting 2022.
