EIT Digital is an important European organization for digital innovation and entrepreneurship education that drives Europe’s digital transformation. Its way of working embodies the future of innovation through a pan-European ecosystem of over 200 large European companies, SMEs, start-ups, universities and research institutes, where students, researchers, engineers and entrepreneurs collaborate in an open innovation context.
Management Innovation is one of the recent partners of EIT Digital and will help to support entrepreneurial talents in their entrepreneurial growth and market presence in the role of Business Champion.
With this in mind, Management Innovation presented two proposals launched by EIT Digital (Innovation Actions) together with Italian and European partners in the context of the fight against COVID-19.
In the first proposal, Management Innovation will support the positioning on the market and the birth of a new startup as part of a project that sees as main players the University of Trento, represented by the associate professor Libertario Demi and a Dutch company Onera BV, who deals with medical diagnostics. The project called UltraOn will deal with new AI methods and algorithms for lung diagnostics using ultrasonography. The methodologies and protocols developed by the University of Trento will allow for greater accuracy in the diagnosis of images from ultrasound diagnostics with reduced costs and above all avoiding unnecessary and expensive patient movements and reducing exposure to X-ray diagnostics.
In the second proposal, Management Innovation together with the company Thinkinside will develop the creation of a new startup with the aim of producing intelligent tokens to support social distancing in closed environments. Both proposals are now under evaluation and we hope to have an answer by the end of July.
